The Ten Traits

The ten traits featured on the Challenge Coins are by no means unique to women. Nor are they the only traits that women are capable of embodying.

Why These Traits?

There’s an old English word that is no longer used, but is so fitting to the idea behind these traits: muliebrity. It means the distinguishing characteristics of women. It is neither positive or negative, but simply a recognition that women and men tend to approach things from different perspectives because of our differing experiences of life.

Both men and women can be ambitious, creative, generous or inspiring, but we will often have a different take on it. The way every individual approaches or embodies these traits has incredible value because it contributes to the growing cognitive diversity that is continually bringing our world to greater and greater heights. If we truly want to make the world a better place for everyone, it starts with getting a multitude of perspectives to the table. This is what you do when you challenge someone through Women’s Brains Matter.

The Women?

For each trait, we have chosen a powerful and well known woman who stands as an inspiring example of each trait and is helping blaze wider and wider trails for all women to find their way into the global space.

These ten women embody the amazing traits that women bring to the table in unique and impactful ways.

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”
